A charming wooden jigsaw puzzle with 262 pieces featuring the cute birdhouses of Amariah Rauscher.
The puzzle has irregular piece shapes with leaf-shaped connectors, and a complex whimsical puzzle edge (an irregular edge with whimsies) that is not shown in the pictures or on the box (to make it a little harder). Puzzle design by David Figueiras.
Overall the puzzle is average hard.
Note: this was the secret puzzle for the 2023 Individuals Speed Contest.
Like all our puzzles, laser-cut from 1/4" thick wood.
Packaged in a blue box with magnetic clasp.
Made in USA (specifically, made in Port Townsend, Washington).

This was my 3rd speed puzzling contest in the individuals competition, and it was the toughest yet! But I think this was also my favorite puzzle of the bunch, even if it was my slowest. The center section went together fairly quickly with the distinct colors, but the sky at the end took a bit longer than expected. The border was especially challenging with it's intricate cut, but it looks so amazing afterwards, and it's lots of fun putting all the little birds in place on the sides. If you look closely you can also see the pieces form a tree outline in the center, which was a nice touch.
If this sounds fun to you, you can try timing yourself too! Or try it at a more relaxed pace to take everything in :)

This is an absolutely gorgeous puzzle! This was the 2023 individual speed puzzling contest and I was really excited when the host said it was a fairly easy puzzle, I knew I had a shot at placing! Alas, the host has lost his mind, this puzzle was quite difficult due to the decorative border. It was loads of fun and beautiful to see from the back as well. Love this puzzle and I actually worked it again before I sent it to its new home.
