This 427 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle is just a bit challenging with a straight edge and many themed whimsy pieces. The image is a 2013 Kevin Sloan painting, and part of his Birds in America series, re-visiting Audubon's famous originals.
The puzzle was designed by Tara Flannery, and has a classic puzzle feel with an abundance of delightfully themed whimsies, knob connectors, and fairly square pieces. This puzzle has a straight edge and is average hard.
Like all our puzzles, laser-cut from quarter-inch thick wood.
Packaged in a pine wood box with sliding lid.

I have assembled this puzzle at least three times. I run out of superlatives when talking about the combined talents of Mr. Sloan and Ms. Flannery. The satire of the classic Audubon paintings just adds to the layers of the creative novelty of Mr. Sloan's work. The beauty of really good art turned into a really good puzzle is that it forces you to take note of the finer details of the artist's work. And Mr. Sloan's work only gets better the more closely you examine it. Fun. Fun. Fun.

Kevin Sloan’s The Worrier is a pleasant puzzle that goes together in good time. As the pieces march diagonally up the painting, whimsies of his worries float around the pelican. He can’t swallow the clocks fast enough to stop time passing before his species is extinguished. The light puzzle pieces make it easy to work on a dark surface. Fun for the family.
