Review: I am thinking November is still too early for Christmas but somebody has to test Christmas jigsaw puzzles, right? This puzzle ends up being larger than I expected when finished, it does have a regular edge but the design is so clever that the regular edge is not much of an advantage. I want to share that this puzzle embodies the joy of Christmas. It is so wholesome and cheery. I would guess the difficulty is rated average. I finished the 242 piece puzzle in 2 hours and 10 minutes so it is not diabolically difficult nor far too easy. What really attracts me is the very clever cut of the pieces; don’t assume a straight edge is a border piece. Radius pieces that look like corner pieces seldom are. The tree ends up being much trickier that one might suspect. I started it near first and finished it near last. The little girl, puppy, mouse and two birds end up really charming sweet in the finished puzzle. Being a grump by nature and with a close relative in the hospital today this is exactly the Christmas pick-me-up I needed. More than any other wooden jigsaw puzzle company Artifact gives the best bang for the buck. The very clever design of the pieces is what makes one want to do and redo this puzzle again and again. I think this year this puzzle is the perfect Christmas gift; even if you purchase for your self or especially if you are the worthy recipient. It may be too early for Christmas, but this puzzle will not be in stock for long. I’d get it long before some less worthy schmuck buys yours.
