This is a 161 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of "Butterflies" by Flemish painter Jan van Kessel the Elder. This puzzle, designed by British artist Matt Lyon, features a bursting cocoon of themed whimsies. It has a straight edge, but its non-unique connectors make it a tricky challenge (difficulty: really hard). Packaged in a small blue box with magnetic clasp.

This puzzle is an eye-opener for the ones amongst us who are not entomologists: by having to pay real attention to details, you discover such a fascinating realm of insects. Beautiful colors on classy off-white background. Lots of fun.

This puzzle was a very fun one-evening challenge, small enough to do on my lap desk. The fun shapes of butterflies, lizards, and bugs were very cute. “Wrong” pieces will fit together perfectly, so for awhile I thought I was losing my mind, but I figured it out and everything worked out in the end! I love the quality of this puzzle - what a nice product.
