Lovely puzzle with intricate design: lots of whimsies related to the sea, grid of waves that gives a nice rolling rhythm to the puzzle, and wavy edges that add to the dynamic. It's deliciously complex, but not overly difficult, and it's a stunning Van Gogh. One boat is named "Amitié", which means friendship in French. I am considering buying one as a gift for my BFF: that would be a subtle way to honor our friendship!

This amazing puzzle kept us busy for a good while! I don't know if it was due to Van Gogh's muted impressionist color scheme or the intricacy of some crazy shapes and piece sizes we encountered. Zak Erving has created a design that is full of complementary images tied to the art and the effect is dazzling! Completing the edge is as fun as the art and working this puzzle has been a treat for our family on more than one occasion. One of the best features of these Artifact masterpieces is that they are as interesting and enjoyable the last time you work them as the first time - a quality supremely important for an investment such as this. The fact that they are hand-carved in America is the icing on the cake!
